UNJSPF is developing a “Digital Certificate of Entitlement Solution,” which leverages Blockchain technology to create digital certificates that can entitle individuals and organizations to certain rights, benefits, or services associated with UNJSPF programs. The project aims to replace the current process, which is time-consuming and relies heavily on traditional postal services, leading to further issues if the beneficiary's signature has changed or they are incapacitated.

Blockchain technology enables immutable, independently audited, and traceable identity verification and transaction processes through triple-entry and distributed ledger. The Fund offers privacy and security, confidentiality and integrity, flexibility, and scalability. For instance, biometric information is stored securely with clear audit trails to protect owners, and cloud-based technology stores and securely processes biometric data.
